Define New Shift

The "New Shift" feature provides an efficient way to manage employee attendance by allowing administrators to create and customise shifts for different departments, roles, and staff members. This feature enables the scheduling of shifts within a specified date range and offers recurring shift options for increased flexibility.

Here's how the feature can be used:

  1. Department: Select the department for which you want to create new shifts. This ensures that shifts are tailored to specific teams or functional areas within the organisation.

  2. Role: Choose the role associated with the shifts. In this case, the role is set as "Employee," indicating that the shifts are intended for regular employees.

  3. Staff: From the provided list of staff members, choose the individuals for whom you want to create shifts.

  4. Date Range: Set the start and end dates for the shift schedule. For instance, you can set the range from August 1, 2023, to August 31, 2023, ensuring that the shifts are scheduled within this period.

  5. Recurring Shift Options: This feature offers two recurring shift options:

    1. Repeat Weekly: The shifts you create will be repeated on a weekly basis. This is useful for shifts that occur consistently every week.

    2. Specific Period: This option allows you to assign shifts to employees for a specific period.

  6. Assign Shift Details: Click on any cell and the system will open a pop-up from where you can assign a shift.

  7. Action(Save): To save inserted shift records.
