The "Add New Role" feature under the "Roles" module allows administrators to define and customise roles within their organisation, specifying the access and permissions granted to users assigned to these roles. 

Here's how to use this feature and an explanation of each field in the role creation form:

Usage:

  1. Role Name: Enter a descriptive name for the new role you are creating. This name should help identify the role's purpose or responsibilities within the organisation.

  2. Features and Capabilities: This section defines the specific permissions and access levels associated with the role. Each feature represents a particular module or functionality within the system, while capabilities specify what actions users with this role can perform within each feature. Here's an explanation of the fields in this section:

  • Bulk PDF Export: Define whether users with this role can perform bulk PDF exports.

  • Contracts: Specify access levels for viewing and editing contracts.

  • Credit Notes: Set permissions for viewing, creating, editing, and deleting credit notes.

  • Customers: Control access to customer-related actions, such as viewing, creating, editing, and deleting customer records.

  • Email Templates: Determine if users can view and edit email templates.

  • Estimates: Set permissions for viewing, creating, editing, and deleting estimates.

  • Expenses: Specify access levels for viewing, creating, editing, and deleting expenses.

  • Invoices: Control access to invoice-related actions, such as viewing, creating, editing, and deleting invoices.

  • Items: Define permissions for managing items, including viewing, creating, editing, and deleting them.

  • Knowledge Base: Specify access to the knowledge base, including viewing, creating, editing, and deleting articles.

  • Payments: Set permissions for viewing, creating, editing, and deleting payments.

  • Timesheet - Leave: Determine permissions for viewing and accessing leave-related data.

  • Work Routes: Control access to work route-related actions.

  • Timesheet - Additional Work Hours: Set permissions for additional work hours management.

  • Timesheet - Additional Work Hours for Specific Employee: Define permissions for creating additional work hours for specific employees.

  • Timesheet - Work Shift Table: Specify access levels for managing work shift tables.

  • Timesheet - Report: Control access to timesheet reports.
